During the course of our relationship- I have been drawn to and inspired by my wife Martha Posner's sculpture and mixed media work. The impact her work has on its viewer is dominated by an ongoing battle to capture the visceral; its theater of transformation and its life-force full of dread and emotive courage. What is ongoing is Martha's magnified impulses and the way she has mastered so many aspects of form and texture to extend the life of these works beyond the present while informing the present. Nevertheless, the act of photographing Martha's work is as if I was making love with the mysteries of her soul...
Martha's Work is being shown at Dalet Art Gallery in Philadelphia until June 6th, 2010 and at Heidi Cho Gallery in Chelsea NYC fro May 27th - June 27th, 2010.
